Bloom & Bottle: The Floral Herbarium Party! 

Looking for a creative, eco-friendly way to celebrate your child’s birthday? Bloom & Bottle: The Floral Herbarium Party! is a fun and hands-on workshop for kids aged 7 and up. In this 1.5-hour class, kids will learn how to transform floral wastage into beautiful, lasting keepsakes by creating their very own floral herbarium bottles.

Guided by Helena, children will explore the art of preserving and arranging dried flowers, giving discarded blooms new life. They’ll hand-select florals from a collection of petals, leaves, and stems, then design and assemble their very own herbarium bottle—capturing nature’s beauty forever. This workshop encourages creativity while also teaching the importance of sustainability, upcycling, and giving discarded flowers a second chance.

As the bottles used are recycled, the style will vary with each class—giving every participant a unique creation to treasure.

What to Expect:
Hand-select petals, leaves, and stems from a collection of dried florals
Design and assemble an herbarium bottle to capture nature’s beauty
Paint or decoupage the lid of the herbarium bottle for an extra creative touch
Develop skills in upcycling and creative thinking
Take home a personalized floral herbarium bottle to cherish

OUR STORY:
As a committed minimal waste florist, we're dedicated to repurposing flowers in-store to create stunning gifting products. Introducing our new Floral Herbarium workshop, inspired by the Japanese art of arranging dried flowers suspended in oil, helping kids craft something beautiful while learning about sustainability and the natural world.

FLORAL HERBARIUM CARE:
Please note that these are real floating flowers, so some petals may shift. Over time, the flowers will naturally change colour but will maintain their beauty for at least one year. To keep your herbarium vibrant, store it away from heat and direct sunlight.

This workshop is hosted at Helena Rose, but Helena can also travel to your chosen location for private requests (home, office, hotel room). A minimum of 6 kids is required to run each 1.5-hour workshop in-store, with a maximum of 10 kids allowed in-store. For larger groups, please contact Helena Rose to see what can be arranged.

For groups of 6 or more, Helena can travel to your location for the party. A minimum of 6 kids is required to run mobile workshops, with a maximum of 30 per session.

Please Note:
Children under 7 are welcome to join any of the workshops as long as there is a guardian or older sibling present. All attending must have a registered ticket, as workshop space is limited. For example, if you’re accompanying your child, please purchase 2 tickets.

All floral programs are NDIS-friendly, and support workers are welcome to join. All attending must have a registered ticket.

There are no cancellations, but customers can reschedule up to 7 days prior to their booking. Tickets will be transferred to a credit that can be used for future workshops, products, or services, and the credit is valid for 6 months.
